Lately
i receive some really good albums from countries that i never
expected to have such good bands. Hyacintus comes from
Argentina and before three years they released their debut
album through Viajero Inmovil Records. The band
includes almost an hour of progressive rock and another difficult
missions starts. First of all, "Elydian"
is a concept albums divides into thirteen acts. As i had write
many times, progressive rock isn't my cup of tea because sometimes
i get bored from what i hear or sometimes i didn't "understand"
the vision of the band. I don't know why but i didn't went
through the concept of Hyacintus, even if i
heard it several times, finally i didn't like it as much as
i like other releases from progressive rock. Maybe it is too
progressive for my ears, maybe i wasn't in the mood to hear
a progressive album or maybe it wasn't written to like this
album. Anyway besides all these, just give to the band a chance
and hear their stuff.
