ABOUT US:	Power Play Records is an independent record label founded in 2002 and based slightly north of New York City. We specialize in re-issuing out of print hard rock and heavy metal music titles of the 1980's and 90's. Over the past few years we have added several current hard rock and metal bands to our label and have begun releasing them world-wide.
GENERAL DEMO SUBMISSION INFO:
We are now accepting DEMOs from up and coming hard rock and heavy metal bands ...please read the important information below. *Please understand that we receive a large number of demos and in most cases cannot respond to every band that sends in a submission. We respect and appreciate the effort you put into your music and would like to thank you for choosing to send your music to us for evaluation. Of course we hope that you send in a killer demo, but unfortunately not every band will fit the bill when it comes to what we are looking for. In any event, don't be surprised or annoyed if you do not hear from us. We are extremely busy, very selective and cannot sign every band to our label though we will be sure to contact the bands that most appeal to us...hopefully that will be YOUR band!
DEMO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER PLAY RECORDS:
Before sending us your demo, please read the following instructions:
1. We will ONLY accept demos on CD format (CD-R). No cassettes. ***PLEASE only send COPIES of your CD-R demos as they will NOT be returned [unless special arrangements are made and postage is pre-paid by the demo's owner].***
2. The material should be recorded on an 8-track recorder (or better). We prefer that you do NOT send live recordings or recordings made in the rehearsal room.
3. The CD should contain at least 3 songs and should include a CD label, and index card, or booklet.
4. Each CD should be accompanied with a band biography and any available press clippings.
5. The promo package should also include at least one photo of the band. Be sure to list all of the names of the band members and the instruments they play. In general, we are interested in young bands that have their own style, image, and focus their attention on song structures.
6. Make sure your BAND name, ALBUM title and SONG titles are CLEARLY written/printed on your DEMO.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you include your complete CONTACT INFORMATION (band name, your name, phone number, e-mail address, mailing address with ZIP code and any other information that will allow us to quickly contact you if necessary.

POWER PLAY RECORDS IMPORTANT POLICY AND ORDERING INFORMATION Grading, Ordering, Payment and Policies
CD GRADING:
MINT =	Very close to NEW, almost NO visible wear or defects
NR MINT =	Very minor wear, very faint scratching at worst
VERY GOOD =	Some wear, some light scratches, no skipping, possible crimping of paper inserts, etc
FAIR =	More scratches no skipping, possible tearing of paperwork, used but not abused
POOR =	Abused but still intact, playable but possible skipping, lots of wear
***Most of our items are NEW, MINT or NR-MINT...check each listing for a detailed description or e-mail us with any of your questions. *Please note that on occassion we list items with the above grading followed by a plus (+) or minus (-)...this indicates that the item falls within the specific grade but is: A) closer to the next higher grade if followed by a plus (+) or B) closer to the next lower grade if fillowed by a minus (-)

RETURN/REFUND POLICY
Returns: 1. NEW (sealed) items may be returned for any reason. The item(s) MUST be returned to our mailing address [POWER PLAY RECORDS P.O. BOX 571 NEW HAMPTON, NY 10958 USA] in the original "sealed/unopened" condition that it was received by the customer and able to be resold as NEW (sealed) Once the item has been returned by the customer to POWER PLAY RECORDS the PURCHASE price will be FULLY refunded. *** Shipping and handling costs WILL NOT BE REFUNDED*** *POWER PLAY RECORDS is not responsible or liable for any items damaged, lost, stolen, etc. during shipping and highly recommends that you insure your order(s) for the best possible protection. 2. All USED items (as well as "open/not sealed " NEW items) are sold "AS IS" and cannot be returned unless they were received with a manufacturers defect or damage that renders the item unplayable or if an incorrect item was shipped to the customer. By this we mean that the item sent to the customer did not match the title and description that we provided in the listing at the time of checkout. Again Shipping and handling costs WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. We may offer an EXCHANGE OF AN ITEM if an identical item is available, otherwise CREDIT towards a future powerplayrecords.com web site purchase will be provided to the customer.
