Adrift
has been in the underground metal scene is almost for ten
years. Nadir, the only member in the band and he decided
to release the first demo of Adrift two months ago.
"Sulphur Seas" is the title of this work
and it has three tracks.
During
the half hour, which is the duration from this demo, Adrift
gives us an impressive journey through the land of melodic
black metal. Of course it isn't easy to have compositions
with six, seven and seventeen minutes long, but Nadir had
made his best in order to keep the attention of the listener.
The
music even if it walks in the melodic black metal, it has
a lot of the underground feelings and sometimes it sound chaotic,
especially at the fast black metal parts. The melodic ones
are really very good.
All
in all, the stuff from Adrift, found me with mixed
emotions, in one hand, I adore the melodic parts from them,
but in the other hand, I didn't like the more aggressive moments
of Adrift. As always the decision is in your hands
too.
