Art
of Simplicity formed before two years and "Asymmetric"
is their debut demo CD, which released early this year and
includes four tracks. The band formed from Matthew Dakoutros,
which is the violin player of Wastefall also
they have the vocalist from Fragile Vastness,
which is the biggest progressive metal band in Greece. Art
of Simplicity follows the paths of Wastefall
and Fragile Vastness and delivers to our ears
a heavy / progressive metal. I mean not only the typical progressive
metal but they have included some heavy metal elements and
i think this element with the addition of the violin, makes
the difference for Art of Simplicity. Of course their
compositions are well worked with interesting ideas and of
course violin is the main instrument in this demo. All we
know that progressive metal is a difficult part in the metal
scene and it need clear mind and patience in order to understand
fully the things that the band want to give to the listener.
Art of Simplicity makes this more easily, even if they
have songs duration of seven minutes, their tracks are easy
listening. If you are into the progressive metal then you
will must hear the stuff from Art of Simplicity and
you will adore it.
