Astra
sent to us their debut full length album with titled "About
Me: Through Life and Beyond". This album was released
a few days ago through Burning Star Records and it
was a really hard time for me.
In
one month, I have in my hands two new releases in the progressive
metal, the new album from Astra and the new album from
Wastefall. First of all Astra is the
official tribute band from Italy for Dream Theater,
so for sure here we will have some really impressive stuff.
Some
times when a band is well known as a tribute group is difficult
to overtake this but I believe Astra makes it. I mean
that they have written some really impressive and well developed
compositions with some really interesting ideas, and I can
say that they have put their personal touch besides their
music influences.
As
a progressive act they have their "difficult" moments
where they need to pay a little bit more attention needed
to feel all the things that they have included in these nine
tracks. For sure the fans of progressive metal will adore
the stuff from Astra.
