Dementia
is a new born band from Greece. They formed two years ago
and now they sent us their debut demo CD which has included
four tracks and almost fifteen minutes of heavy rock music
with some atmospheric elements.
The
demo begins with a sympathetic but simple intro. After that
the band has the track "Window to a new Era"
and we can hear their music direction, with the heavy rock
and the clean vocals as a part of this track. Their compositions
are just average and you can hear them easily even if they
haven't something to give you.
The
main disadvantage is the production and the sound, especially
the production which is poor and the sound is weak. I think
if the band worked a little bit more in these two sections,
maybe it would be easier for the listeners to understand what
they're doing with their music.
Definitely
they should work harder and try to be more unique in order
to have some possibilities for something more. The good thing
is that more and more bands are coming from Greece and this
is atleast encouraging.
