Excalion is a new born band coming from Finland. After two demos the band achieves to secure a record deal with Sound Riot Records and before three months they released their debut album with the title "Primal Exhale". The album has nine tracks in the European edition and if i am not mistaken tweleve in the Japanese edition. The band didn't offer you something new in the music scene. Their music genre is typical, symphonic power metal with all the things that you want to hear, with great vocals, very interesting keyboard parts and well worked guitars. The thing that made the debut album from Excalion really good and above average is that they play their music directly from their heart. First of all they are fans of this music and you can see that in their compositions which are well worked with interesting ideas. Vesa had done a very nice work in the guitars and their solos are remarkable. If you want to hear a new fresh band, you can choose the last effort from Excalion, i believe that you will find a small diamond here. Check them out you maybe you won't surprise but as least you will adore their stuff. It is like the stuff from Iron Maiden, you love them even if you know what they will bring to you in their new album. The only think i want to pay attention to the band is to work more in their sound. I hope they will have a more massive sound in their next release.
