Ex
Inferis, recently sent us
their latest album, which was released back in 2004 and has
the title "Defunctus in Heresi" and it was
a blast. It was the first album that i had the chance to hear
from them and believe me these guys took my scalp off! First
of all i want to congratulate them for the great package of
their release. The album is a digi-pack edition with a twelve
page booklet. Ex Inferis comes from Belgium and actually
this is their debut album, after a self financed mini CD and
a split release too. The album begins with a bombastic intro,
which is almost three minutes and after that the chaos. Suddenly
"Bloodsoaked Apostasy" goes straight to your
head with the very aggressive sound and the very good drum
parts and a guttural and raw singer. The band combines many
influences from death metal with some thrash metal elements
and with their personal sound, brings to us this blast as
their album. I am sure that soon more and more metalheads
will know this name, Ex Inferis, the guys have all
the things in order to become a major name in the metal scene
of Europe. Imagine Dark Tranquility to meets
Entombed and then just leave your imagination
to take place for the rest. I am really happy that i have
the chance to hear their stuff. Support Ex Inferis
and you won't regret it.
