Fragments
of Sentience come from Canada and "Hiatus"
is their latest demo CD which includes three tracks and almost
a half hour of music. So definitely their compositions are
quite long and this thing gives the impression that the band
worked hard in order to make them as interesting as possible.
When i saw the length of their tracks i imagined that it was
just another progressive act, but when the CD begins to spit
all the notes that Fragments of Sentience had written
it was a blast. So we have a black metal assault from Canada
and believe me these guys don't just play extreme metal, they
have made a great project. First of all we have black metal
and clean vocals. Secondly we have their compositions which
are really well developed with incredible ideas and of course
a very good song structure. So besides the extreme phase of
their music we have some melodies and all these combinations
make very interesting the stuff from Fragments of Sentience.
I was really pleased when i heard for first time the stuff
from these guys and if you pay more attention you will see
that they have work really hard to make this release.
