Before
two years i had review the latest album from Gurd with
the title "Encounter". Gurd comes
from Switzerland and this year they celebrate their first
ten years of existence. For this reason the band gives a live
show and last April N-Gage Productions released
it as a double package. The first CD contains seventeen tracks
from this show but the great thing is in the second disc which
is a DVD with twenty three songs, six more from the audio
CD, plus the video clips from the band, the discography and
some other goodies. The show was great; the band did their
100% in this gig. Also the sound is really massive and you
can feel the aggressive sound that Gurd have in their
sound. Their music can describe as thrash metal but not with
the usual thrash metal sound but also with some heavy metal
elements and of course a lot of modern metal elements. Believe
me if you see the DVD first then you will be a fan of Gurd
immediately. The band has an incredible stage show with their
energy. This release is a great opportunity for everyone who
doesn’t know the music from Gurd to take the
best taste for their ten years of history, definitely a best
of show from them. Switzerland one more time gives to us a
very good band in the metal scene. Check those out you will
be surprised from their very good music. I am really happy
that i had the opportunity to see and hear this release. A
must buy for a very metal fan.
