This
is one reason why i support and follow a lot the underground
scene. A lot of times you see how a band grows up from their
demo days to the album days. Heavy Water had sent to
me their previous demo CD and i had reviewed it. To be honest
with you, it wasn't the best demo that i have ever heard but
now i see that the band had made a great progress and they
find a label and here we have their debut album with the title
"Simple Songs for Complicated Minds" which
released through Fury76 Records. Musically the band
walks in progressive / experimental music paths. Definitely
they have a lot of influences from Tool but
in the same time they have complicated songs with a lot of
melodies and some aggressive parts. Their compositions are
well worked with interesting ideas and you can see that the
band isn't afraid to make some interesting combinations. Generally
Heavy Water isn't afraid to make a lot of things with
their music and to say a lot of things via their lyrics. If
you want to hear something that's worth your attention you
can count on Heavy Water. Check this album because
even if it comes from an unknown band, it can say a lot of
things about our society. Also Heavy Water is an example
that if a band works hard for sure they will have the results
that they deserve.
