Recently
I received the second album from Hydrogyn, a melodic
hard rock band from the United States. The first thing that
you will notice for sure is the cover with the very beautiful
female singer that they have.
I
believe that a lot of people will "stay" there and
they won't go inside, which inside is the music from Hydrogyn.
Above all we have the name of their producer which is Michael
Wagener, if you don't remember this man had mixed Metallica's
'Master of Puppets' and produced Ozzy Osbourne's
'No More Tears' and Skid Row's 'Slave to
the Grind'.
Definitely
in these sections we have a great work and you can easily
see it if you hear the album from Hydrogyn. So musically
the band had offered us a mixture of classic melodic rock,
sometimes they are a little bit more aggressive which reach
the paths of metal music, especially with some really heavy
guitar riffs and finally they walk in the more alternative
paths of rock music too.
Generally
the band included some really well developed compositions
with some really interesting ideas and above all a will to
play rock music straight from their hearts. Definitely this
album will be in my Top - 10 list for this year and will stay
a long time in my CD player too.
