Due to some problems i had lost the previous release from Impaled Nazarene. Their previous work was a live album, so i was waiting their newest studio album, which is their ninth so far. The title that they have chosen this time is "Pro Patria Finlandia" and these crazy guys had included fourteen tracks and almost forty minutes of pure black metal.

Definitely Impaled Nazarene is a well known band, they have been banned several times and they have been the centre of controversy too. But at least when they record a new album it is always something really good and i am sure that their new one is the best so far without any slow down moments.

"Pro Patria Finlandia" comes straight from hell and believe me from the opening track "Weapons to Tame a land" to the last one "Hate-Despise-Arrogance" you won't stop the head banging. This album was recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump Studios and mastered at the famous Finnvox Studios with the help from Mika Jussila.

Last but not least the band will start a European tour in April, May and June, so if you see a poster in your town doesn’t forget to check Impaled Nazarene live on the stave. The black metal legion Impaled Nazarene strikes back with the best album so far, don't miss it.

SCORE out of 8.3/10 Antonis Maglaras
