Keen
of the Crow is a new band from the ex-rhythm section of
Morgion. I first heard the stuff from Morgion
last year and i was really impressed. So when i see that Keen
of the Crow has two ex-members from Morgion,
i was curious to hear what their music direction of the new
band was. Of course they don't leave the path of Doom Metal.
"Premonition"
is the title of their debut demo CD and they have included
three tracks and more than twenty minutes of pure doom metal
with a lot of death metal elements too. Don't forget that
most of the doom metal bands nowadays include some death metal
touches especially in the vocals section. The thing that i
adored the most in their demo was the fact that they created
a very massive and doomy sound while simultaneously you could
hear all the instruments clearly.
You
can say that Keen of the Crow is ready to write their
debut album and i am sure they will made some really impressive
debut work. I don't know if this demo is for sale or just
for promotion but try to hear it. Last but not least, i like
the way that Keen of the Crow "plays" with
their music. This you can hear if you go to the last track,
which is a little bit different from the whole demo, but of
course they didn't leave the path of doom metal, they just
made a small experiment.
