Time
does pass really fast. It was back in 2002 when I first got
in contact with the French band The Last Embrace,
with their debut self titled EP. To be honest with you
I haven't heard any news from this band until last month,
when we got in contact again and I realized that they have
already written their debut album.
With
new members in their line up they chose "Inside"
as the title of their debut album and they included nine tracks
and about forty five minutes of pure gothic rock music.
From
their first attempt I can say that The Last Embrace
wasn't the easiest band to listen to. I mean that even if
they play gothic rock they have made some really impressive
compositions with some really interesting ideas and not just
a copy paste from their influences.
In
their newest album, I think they are a little bit heavier
especially in the guitars or the production and the sound
is better and now you can hear clearly what they band plays.
Also
I believe that in this album the band had a few elements from
the progressive scene and I really like this combination of
their influences. Because this is an advanced copy of their
album, I don't know when it will be released and if it will
be a re-master or something like that, even if I don't think
that it needs this because it can stand like a finished product.
