Mastermind
is a United States based progressive metal band. They aren't
new in the metal scene, even if this release is the first
that i have the chance to hear, the band is in the music scene
over sixteen years and they have released seven albums so
far. "Broken" is the title of their newest
single, which is a taste from their upcoming full length album
later this year. This single, which is also almost forty five
minutes long, begins with "Broken" which
actually this is the taste for their upcoming album "Insomnia".
Tracy has a great voice; from the first second you
will hear it that she has a very strong, full of emotions
voice. In these four minutes, you will hear an almost excellent
composition, which even if it is in the progressive metal
era, it is very easy to listen to it and i can say that it
will be perfect for rock radio shows around the world. After
that we have the very good cover of an A Perfect Circle
track, "Weak and Powerless". Generally the
whole release is almost excellent with very good and well
developed compositions. You can hear some incredible ideas
inside the songs and i am sure that when "Insomnia"
will be out, many fans of progressive metal will be surprised.
I am really happy that the band send to me their work, and
i will eager to hear their next new studio album. If you already
know the band, you will for sure buy their newest work, if
you don't know the band just hear some tunes and you will
do the same.
