Before
the end of 2005 Santa Claus brought a surprise for me. I received
the latest work from Nemo, a French progressive rock
band, which was their debut live album. The band recorded
this album back in April in their country. The first thing
that impressed me was the fact that it was the first time
that i heard a progressive band sing in French, and believe
me it was an interesting experience. The first time it sounds
"weird" but after that you get used to it and begin
to love hearing it. In this album the band includes eight
tracks and almost one hour of music. Nemo has already
four albums and now they have just finished the recordings
of their fifth album which will be released in the next couple
of months. It is worth mentioning that their compositions
are more than well worked with very interesting ideas and
the keyboards additions very clever and fit perfectly with
the whole music. I wish i could have the translation of the
lyrics in order to understand more the music from Nemo.
I hope in the final product the band has the translation in
the booklet. For sure the fans of progressive music will adore
the stuff from Nemo and i hope soon we will have the
chance to review their newest album.
