First
of all i want to say that this band has a very clever moniker,
"Never the Bride" is in the music scene from
over a decade now, this album first released back in 2002
but somehow the band re-released it before two weeks, with
two bonus tracks. If i am not mistaken Never the Bride
comes from United Kingdom and so far they have shared the
stage with bands like ZZ Top or The Who
and The Pretenders. The core of Never the
Bride is Nikki Lamborn (vocals) and Catherine
Feeney (piano and keys). The album begins with "This
is a cry for Love" and i believe all the people who
are in love will fully understand the whole song. Musically
Never the Bride is a pop / rock band, with very easy
listening songs and most of the songs are catchy too. In this
album you can hear a lot of melodies and well worked compositions
with well structured core. Especially if you like the soft
rock or pop rock you will adore the stuff from Never the
Bride and i am sure the two ladies will do the break through
to the mainstream scene and from now on we will hear from
them in a regular base. Because my ears are used to hear a
lot of heavier stuff than this, in the first times i found
it too light but then i realize that i like a lot the stuff
from Never the Bride. Don't hesitate to order the album
via their official site. You will like what you will hear.
Maybe next time to have a bigger booklet? Just a suggestion.
