Another
new label, this time from Finland, sent us their latest release.
The band's name is Northern Discipline and here we
have their debut full length album "Burn Beaten Soil".
In this album the band included eleven tracks and almost forty
minutes of pure metal music.
Of
interest is the fact that Toni Laroma is the bass player
Ajattara too. From the opening track the band
gave a straight forward in your face music attack, a combination
of thrash metal with a lot of groove elements and some modern
touches.
The
rhythm section is really great and the guitar players have
written some really interesting guitar riffs too. Generally
the compositions from Northern Discipline are well
created with some really impressive ideas. Above all, from
the first track on the band touches your soul and gets you
in the mood of their album.
Even
if i hadn't the chance to hear their debut Ep back in 2003,
Northern Discipline won me over with their powerful
and beautiful music that they had written in this album. Definitely
"Burn Beaten Soil" will be in my top 10 for
the next months. There's something about bands from Finland,
they have some secret and that's why they write such quality
music in almost every release.
