After
two demos and one self financed album, Path of Golconda,
strikes back with their second self financed album "The
Threshold Diaries". In this work they included ten
tracks and forty five minutes of pure black metal.
The
main advantage of this band is the fact that even though their
foundation is black metal, they don't stay there. They have
also included influences from thrash and death metal in order
to give a change to the listener and to make their stuff more
interesting.
Most
of their compositions are well written with very impressive
ideas and a great singer, who spits out aggressive and raw
lyrics. Of course the whole band did their best with their
new effort.
They
have pushed one step further the black metal influences. I
am sure that the die hard fans of black metal, might not like
all the stuff from Path of Golconda, but by adding
various elements they spread their music better.
I
hope the band will find a label soon in order to have a little
bit more help for their next step because they deserve it.
They have worked a lot, they have very nice ideas and of course
this band is far above average.
