Profound
comes from Austria and after two demos the band achieve to
release their debut self financed album last year. The title
of their album is "Frozen Mankind" and it
includes twelve songs and more than seventy minutes of pure
music. Musically the band walks in the doom / dark metal with
some death metal elements especially in the vocals section.
You know the classic growls and death metal vocals with guttural
voice and the combination with the clean ones. The music has
a lot of doom metal elements combined with gothic metal ones.
Generally Profound makes some really interesting compositions
with well worked ideas and the songs structure is really good
and you can see that the band had spent a lot of hours in
their rehearsal room. Don't forget that they had shared the
stage with bands like Anathema and Die
Apokalyptischen Reiter. All in all the stuff from
Profound is really interesting if they will become
more unique and to put more their personal sound inside their
song then we will have a better result. But for a debut album
is a very good movement and i hope the guys will work harder
to release a better album in their next step.
