A
few months ago I reviewed the previous work from Shroud
of Bereavement and I was really excited from their very
good result. Now this band from the United States sent me
their newest work, which is actually a split CD with WitherSoul.
In
this release Shroud of Bereavement included two tracks
and offer us twenty five minutes of pure atmospheric doom
metal. First of all, we have three singers, two women and
one man and at least in the vocal section we have a great
result which will remind you a lot of a theatrical performance.
It
is needless to say that the two compositions are more than
well developed full of interesting ideas and changes. For
example in the opening track in the first few minutes we have
only the female singers and only melodies but in the middle
of this song we have a very interesting change.
As
far as Withersoul, again this band has dual brutal
male and female vocals. They are a little bit more up tempo
than Shroud of Bereavement but they still stay at the
doom metal side. Nothing special but at least you can hear
their stuff easily.
