It
was almost a year ago when I reviewed the debut release from
the Swedish act Silverdollar. Back then the band had
an album full of covers from some well known bands. I remember
I had written that I wanted to hear this band with their own
songs and finally after a year here we are.
"Evil
Never Sleeps" is the title of this promo CD which
includes three tracks and almost fifteen minutes of pure classic
heavy metal. From the opening track the band gives us a straight
picture of what we will hear in the next ones.
I
believe they have put three songs that represent the music
direction of Silverdollar. Songs that are well written
with some very interesting ideas and above all, tracks that
have something that's catchy the first time you hear them.
From
example "Unleashed Hell" is a straight heavy
metal song, while the "Neurotic Eyes" had
more things to give to the listener and is a little bit more
"progressive" and mid tempo.
Last
but not least, as I wrote above these three songs are definitely
representative for the music direction of Silverdollar
and I believe the next step is their first full length album
with their own compositions.
