I know Sonic Syndicate from the "Black Lotus" days back in 2003 when they had another name. I don't know why but the band "forget" to send me the 2004 EPwith the title "Extinction" and suddenly i receive a package from Sweden with the debut album of Sonic Syndicate which released before one week through Pivotal Rage Records. In this album the band include ten tracks of pure melodic death metal tunes. Melodic death metal only in the music section, because Richard did his best to perform as much extreme vocals as he can. Spotted in the whole album the band had used some female backing vocals just for a change and in order to be more interesting the final result of "Eden Fire". Because all the members from Sonic Syndicate are young, if i am not mistaken the oldest is only 22, they have various influences from the death metal scene but their main influences comes from In Flames, Dark Tranquility and Soilwork. Believe me i don't know if Sonic Syndicate have something to add to the metal scene but at least in my ears they sound with a fresh atmosphere and i am sure that if they will continue to work hard then we can say that Sonic Syndicate is the future of Swedish death metal scene. It is needless to say that their compositions are well worked with interesting ideas and here we have a massive production with a very clear sound. If you like the death metal you can check the stuff from Sonic Syndicate.

SCORE out of 8.7/10 Antonis Maglaras
