I
am always confident with most of the bands that come from
Finland. So when I receive the latest demo CD from Soulwound,
I wasn't so curious to hear it, because at least I expected
a good effort.
I
first heard it once and then I read that the band had produced
it with their own power and believe me they did a very good
job. Soulwound walks in the paths of thrash metal with
few moments of death metal. Basically
their music is thrashing metal in the vein of the leaders
of this kind of music. Their compositions are well written
with some very interesting ideas and personally I adored the
guitar themes and solos which are spotted in the whole demo.
For
a first release this is a very promising start and I will
wait until their next step, in order to see if they will have
made some progress.
