Sun
of Sadness comes from Germany and they started back in
2001. After two full length releases it was the perfect time
to strike back with their newest work. This time the band
had the help from Onge Records and "Ghost"
released on the sixth day of the sixth month of this year.
The
band included thirteen tracks and almost an hour of pure dark
metal music, which is actually a blend of elements from gothic
and black metal. Besides that the band seems to be an open
minded and they have take elements from various music genres
too.
Of
course basically we will hear aggressive and raw vocals, with
melancholic keyboards and blast beats, while the acoustic
guitars and the melodies are here too in order to have a perfect
mix of black metal and gothic metal.
Generally
Sun of Sadness had done a really good work, with very
impressive ideas and well developed compositions. If you pay
more attention to each song you will find that the band knows
very well what they want from their music and why they have
put all this info inside their music.
Last
but not least, "Ghost" is a recommendation
for all the fans of dark, gothic and black metal.
