Taste
of Doom is a new German band, that has had only three
years of existence. So far they have released a demo tape
back in 2004 and a 2 track promo tape last year.
"All
Quiet on the West Front" is the latest effort from
these guys. In this release the band included five tracks
and twenty minutes of pure thrash metal assault with few touches
from death metal too.
So
far the band has supported acts like: Suidakra,
Skyclad, Final Breath and Heathen.
When I hear the stuff from Taste of Doom, I see a band
that has something to give to the underground metal scene.
They play from their hearts and they have some really powerful
moments.
The
main negative of this band is the fact that the production
and the sound is really poor. I made a huge effort in order
to hear what they had included inside their well worked compositions.
Last
but not least, I think they should pay more attention to the
production in their next release and everything would be perfect.
