From the beginning Saxon, wasn't my favorite band, of course i like a lot of their songs but i can't say that i am a fan of them. Before four years Dwell Records released a tribute to them. In this cd, you will find eleven tracks, personally i believe that eleven tracks for Saxon are few but i can't change it. Now as far as the tracklist, we have some really nice tracks, like "The Eagle has landed" or "Power and the glory" (which is my favorite from a very good band but not so famous in the mainstream scene) and "747" and of course "Motorcycle Man". I can say that i expected the "Denim and Leather" but in eleven songs you can't have everything. Besides some well known bands like: Steel Prophet, October 31, Agent Steel and Premonition, the rest of the bands aren't well known. Even if many of you don't know the rest of the bands, the guys had done a great work and the have cover very well the Saxon tracks and some times they have put a little their personal sound and the song becomes more interesting to hear it. You know what you will expect from a tribute to Saxon. I only believe that could be a double cd, but maybe in the future who knows.
