I have used to review the many tribute
albums that Dwell Records send to us, this time is
the turn for the tribute to Venom. This album
released before five years and even if we have some many good
songs from Venom the bands aren't well known. From
the fifteen tracks the well known bands are: Acheron,
Ritual Carnage and Black Witchery. So i think
this is a minus and a plus in the same time for this release.
It is a minus, because if someone see all the bands and he
didn't know any of them, then i believe he will ignore this
tribute, but it is a plus in the same time because these unknown
bands want to do their best in order to be better known in
the metal music scene. Definitely the best tracks are: Acheron
and "Countess Bathory", Black Witchery
"Warhead" (even if it has a terrible production
and sound) and the Japanese thrash metal madness Ritual
Carnage "Welcome Hell". All in all i
believe that this tribute is just an average one. I don't
think so that it has something really special in order to
dig in. For sure the fans of Venom, will love this
tribute. I think that Dwell Records could have done
a better work in this tribute.
