Useless
Concept comes from France and "Somewhere Else"
is their latest self financed album which includes ten tracks.
Unfortunately the band didn't send any info about them and
in their website you can only contact them and see some photos.
Anyway to the music now, Useless Concept, walks mostly
in the progressive metal but with their own vision of this
genre. The band combines influences from Tool
and Metallica with a very interesting way and
i think this thing gives this magic sense of musicianship
that these guys have. Great compositions, with well worked
ideas and interesting themes especially in the guitars. But
even if the band has some great ideas, they don't have a catchy
song to remember it after the first listening. Honestly in
the first time that i heard this album, i wonder how fast
fifty five minutes passed, but also i recognize that i hadn't
any tune in my head. So we can say that this isn't the easiest
album to hear, you must pay a lot of your attention in order
to understand all the messages that the band give to us through
their music in order to have a great time during the listening
of "Somewhere Else" and maybe who knows after
it you will go for somewhere else.
