Xenesthis
is an Austrian band which sent me their latest demo CD with
the title "Straight to Infinity". In this
work the band included four tracks and more than twenty minutes
of progressive metal with a, let's say, dark atmosphere.
From
the opening track the band gives us a clear picture of what
we will hear in the next minutes and this is a progressive
orgy, without overly complex compositions which bore the listener,
but instead with very interesting ideas inside their songs.
So
the fact that Xenesthis combines actually two different
music directions and make them one with their personal ideas
and of course their personal touch was attractive for my ears.
For
a demo release, the band had put high standards for their
next step, but I believe they will make it and they will give
us another good piece of work. For now you should listen to
"Straight to Infinity".
